While the geography makes exporting throughout North America feel like a simple and straightforward function, there are a number of regulatory, cultural and financial dynamics to consider when looking to the Great White North or going South of the Border.

One of the most basic considerations is that the U.S., Mexico and Canada are part of the USMCA, or United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement, which replaced the North American Free Trade Agreement, or NAFTA, on July 1, 2020. To help provide some guidance and perspective on leveraging the opportunities in both Canada and Mexico, this video breaks down a report from EXIM – the Export Import Bank of the United States, called The North American Exporting Guide.

The opportunities abound on our continent, and additional information on how to grow your export business in Canada, Mexico and around the world, is available from EXIM bank - the official export credit agency of the United States.
