Conveyor Metal Detectors
Industrial automation processes rely heavily on conveyor metal detectors to reject and remove automatically contaminated products. These highly automated system sense and reject individual packages and bulk material in flow. The typical metal detector has a full loop sensing head where the product/package passes through. As it passes through the sensing head electromagnetic coils detect the smallest metal contaminates and automatically remove them from the process flow. Reject devices including the air blast, rejecting arm, retracting belt and over head sweep arms accurately transport the contamination from the flow.
The following examples illustrate how diverse these systems are. Virtually any manufacturing processing plant in the world could benefit from this application. The Goring Kerr Model DSP 2 control panel was fitted to a wide range of sensing heads with an easy accessible interface.
